Scheduled Diesel Delivery: How Mines and Farms Never Run Dry

27 August 2026 · 4 min read

Why ad-hoc ordering costs more

Ordering diesel only when tanks run low forces you into emergency call-outs, rushed deliveries and sometimes premium pricing. Operations that switch to a standing schedule — a fixed delivery day, week or volume — almost always pay less per litre and lose less production time.

Size your storage correctly

A good rule of thumb: on-site storage should hold at least seven days of normal consumption, ideally fourteen. That gives your supplier enough window to absorb transport delays, weather closures or a spike in usage during harvest or plant commissioning.

Combine scheduled and emergency supply

Even the best schedule needs a safety net. Keep an emergency line open with a supplier who can dispatch a tanker at short notice. Daiker Fuels customers get both: a fixed delivery calendar for planning, plus priority emergency response when something unexpected hits.
